Project Managers are responsible for working with customers and third-party vendors to create and manage project plans for the delivery of software, customization, training, production support, and other related services for Krumware customers. Project Managers must communicate and work closely with other Krumware team members, the customer, and other vendors. At the Senior Project Manager level, the role is expected to lead multiple projects from inception to completion, and coach junior Project Managers on best practices and standards.
Essential Duties
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure timely delivery of each project
- Effectively lead, mentor, and coach junior Project Managers on best practices
- Oversee and lead project planning efforts to determine requirements and specifications, project scope, staffing needs, and scheduling
- Schedule and facilitate regular stakeholder and client meetings
- Proactively drive creative approaches to problem-solving and timely delivery supporting business needs
- Coordinate, facilitate, and document sprint/milestone/project reviews, implementing best practices going forward
- Facilitate project closure process including decommissioning of cloud resources, deletion of project email distribution and other lists, and all other activities
- Assist in interviewing, onboarding, and training of junior PM’s
- Coordinate the development of scalable and highly-available network-delivered applications and frameworks
- Perform agile project management and tailor methodologies to ensure timely progress and delivery
- Assist internal and client teams with adoption of project management methodologies
- Enforce cost-control and scope-control
- Aid operations teams through timely reporting and participation in resource planning
- Aid with identification and scheduling of resources
- Effectively plan delivery milestones and resource estimations
Educational Requirements
Technical expertise and project management expertise must be documented in the form of academic degrees or other documented credentials.
- 5+ years of experience managing technical projects and Agile teams
- Certification in at least one project management-related area preferred (CSM, PMI-ACP, PMP, SAFe, etc.)
- Experience in managing budgets and schedules
- Experience with participating in Agile project teams with Scrum methodology preferred
- Experience in creating, tracking, managing, and reporting budgets
- Experience in creating, tracking, managing, and reporting project schedules
- Experience in managing and controlling project scope
- Good presentation skills with emphasis on organization and attention to detail required
- Ability to lead client-facing meetings independently
- Experience in managing multiple projects with up to 8 team members
- Experience in tailoring Agile methodologies and frameworks to suit the project, team, and organization structure
